Embroidered Marsh Arabi Kilim
6’9” x 4’8”
Southern Iraq, Vintage - approximately 70 years old
Marsh arabi kilims were hand embroidered and made to be used as wedding blankets in the southern marshalnds of Iraq. These are getting rarer to find as the Marsh Arab culture no longer exists, and they have not been made for at least 30 years. This could be used as a rug in a low traffic area, but would be best used on the wall or as a throw.
