why does my product look slightly different than the picture?
all of our products are one of a kind, and handcrafted with care. due to the nature of handmade products, variation in color and size may occur. the pattern scale of our silk/cotton fabrics are often larger than our accessories, so each product is unique, just like you! please also note that real ikat has repeat lines! these cream, white, or light pink lines may show up in your product. this proves that the ikat is hand-tied.

when will i receive my package?
all of our products are shipped through USPS or FedEx, monday through friday. custom and made to order products have a lead time of 4-6 weeks, and will be shipped after production. please note that orders of stocked products placed after 1pm est will not be shipped until the following business day. please allow 24 hours for processing. we offer free ground shipping on all products. slightly east cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen packages. lead times for shipping are as follows: free ground and USPS shipping (2-5 business days), 2nd day air (2 business days), and next day air (1 business day). please note that the covid-19 pandemic may affect these ship times and slightly east is not responsible for any shipping delays.


what is your return/exchange policy?
customized products are not eligible for returns, unless damaged. we accept returns and exchanges on stocked products postmarked no later than 14 days of delivery of your order. to be eligible for a return, items must be unused and in its original condition. shipping charges are nonrefundable, unless merchandise is damaged or sent incorrectly. we advise that packages be returned by a traceable carrier and that you insure the package for the amount of the product purchased. to request a return or exchange on stocked items, please email glori@slightlyeast.com with your order number and reason for return or exchange. we will email you with a return/exchange card to be included in the shipment. returns must be mailed within 14 days of receiving your return confirmation number. items returned to us that are not in its original condition will not be accepted. we will send you an e-mail notification when your return is received and inspected. If approved, a credit will be applied to your original method of payment within 3 business days.

how do I care for my product?
to extend the life of your product, please avoid water and direct sunlight. to remove stains from fabric, dry clean if possible. to spot clean fabric, gently dab with a damp, cold cloth. do not rub and do not use warm/hot water. to clean leather, dab the stain with a dry cloth and mild leather cream. for cut yardage fabric, knit backing is reccomended. 

do you offer a warrantee?
all slightly east products are carefully handmade of the finest materials to guarantee manufacturing standards. we believe in quality, and each slightly east product comes with a manufacturing defect warrantee that lasts for a year. we do not offer repairs on products that are damaged due to normal wear and tear. if your product meets these guidelines, we are happy to repair your product free of charge.
